ABOUT ME

After studying Biology in Munich and Tübingen and postdoc experience in cochlear hair cell physiology at the University of Sussex, in 2001 I established an auditory research group at Frankfurt University. My focus is the auditory system of mammals and insects since I am fascinated by evolutionary sensory adaptations. Special topics covered by my department are echolocation of bats, inner ear mechanics and otoacoustic emissions, and neuropharmacology of the auditory system.
